Ioannis Paraskevopoulos obtained his law degree from the University of Thessaloniki in 1995. He holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki since 2004. In 2017 he completed an LL.M. program in Transnational and European Commercial Law, Banking Law, Mediation, Arbitration and Energy Law at the International Hellenic University of Thessaloniki.
Since 1997 he is an admitted attorney of the Thessaloniki Bar Association, working in private practice and representing both natural persons and corporate entities before the competent civil, criminal and administrative courts.
Ioannis Paraskevopoulos has extensive experience litigating contractual and commercial disputes which included cases where judicial protection of trademarks, industrial designs and other intellectual property rights was sought before national courts, and also cases where insolvency procedures were initiated.
Furthermore, in his capacity as the legal adviser of construction companies, he developed a broad understanding of the construction industry by way of dealing with issues of regulatory compliance, drafting commercial contracts, representing the companies in sales contracts, dealing with public construction contracts and handling company law issues. His role within the companies’ structure required his participation in team projects and the successful collaboration with entrepreneurs, engineers and economists.
Ioannis speaks fluently Greek, English and German and has a good knowledge of French.
